Suspicious vehicle report leads to multiple charges

On Nov. 4, 2017 at approximately 11:49 p.m., the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Eight Line north of Sideroad 5, Town of Erin.

While patrolling the area officers observed a male and female party walking northbound on the Eight Line. Two other individuals were located in a vehicle nearby. 

As a result of the investigation at the scene, all four individuals were arrested and are charged with the following:

Thirty-four-year-old Francis James Blown (male) of Guelph has been charged with possession of cocaine and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court Dec. 5, 2017.

Twenty-two-year-old Natalie Jean Arthurs of Guelph has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court Dec. 5, 2017.

Thirty-six-year-old Joseph Hanson of Puslinch has been charged with mischief and obstruct peace officer and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court December 5, 2017.

Twenty-six-year-old Tyler James Strobbe of Woodstock has been charged with:

  • Carrying concealed weapon
  • Possession of break-in instruments
  • Two counts of posses firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Three counts of possession of an identity document
  • Possess property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Unauthorized possession of weapon

He was held for bail court.
