A Guelph girl received more than injuries as a result of being hit by a car on the city’s east end Monday morning.

She also received a ticket for disobeying a ‘don’t walk’ signal.

The 17-year-old pedestrian was struck at about 9:20 a.m. at the intersection of Victoria Road North and Eastview Road, and was taken to hospital for treatment of a minor head injury.

Disobeying a ‘don’t walk’ signal is a provincial offence under the Highway Traffic Act.
