At approximately 3 a.m., a black sedan entered the RIDE check with three 17-year-old males. While speaking with the driver, officer's detected the odour of fresh marijuana. Investigation led to seizure of over 300 grams of cannabis.

With the exception being that it's in its original packaging and has not been opened or is packed in baggage that is fastened closed or is not otherwise readily available to any person in the vehicle or boat. Search Cannabis Control Act, 2017 online for more details.
