Police say 46-year-old male from Mount Forest was airlifted to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries after a collision on Highway 6.

On Feb. 6, 2023, at approximately 1 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision on Highway 6, south of Mount Forest. Initial reports indicated that two sport utility vehicles (SUV) had collided, and both drivers received serious injuries.

OPP and emergency services responded. A 48-year-old female from Mount Forest was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced deceased. A 46-year-old male from Mount Forest was airlifted to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.

The roadway between Sideroad 5 and Sideroad 3 remained closed into the night while the reconstructionist of the West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) unit investigated. The Wellington County OPP is asking anyone that may have witnessed this collision to please call 1-888-310-1122.
