Guelph police are investigating after attempts were made to steal two Toyota pickups from the same neighbourhood early Tuesday morning.

Just before 2 a.m. police were called to an address near Pine Ridge Drive and Farley Drive. The complainant said she looked out her second-storey window and saw two males inside her husband’s 2024 Toyota Tundra pickup. She went to get her phone and when she returned to the window the males were gone.

Investigation revealed the driver’s side back window had been smashed and a panel on the dash was ripped off, exposing wiring. While police were on scene they were approached by a nearby neighbour, who advised his 2023 Tundra had sustained similar damage.

The two suspects were described as thin and wearing light-coloured track suits with hoods.
