As a builder constructing a new home in an established neighbourhood, Mezcon Construction Limited felt it was important that 83 Hearn Avenue fit in with the aesthetic of the surrounding neighbourhood.

Builder Zach Fischer had a sentimental reason to ensure other homeowners on Hearn Avenue were happy with the newest addition to their neighbourhood. 83 Hearn was built on a lot once deeded to his grandfather; the lot was severed, and his grandmother occupied the existing house. “It’s a nice quiet area, and pretty much all the houses on the street are constructed with red brick or stone,” said Karla Fischer, co-owner of the house with husband Zach. “We really studied the neighbourhood to see what would fit in and look good, so neighbours were going to be happy, rather than just build a big modern home with a big garage up front.”
