Kyle Hampson has a significant real estate and business law clientele that is continuing to expand. He has forged many relationships with professional services and stakeholders in Guelph and across the country.
His practice focuses on all aspects of real estate, including leasing and transactions involving commercial lands, development lands, residential lands, farmland, and investor-focused real estate transactions. His expertise also includes a wide range of business, financing, and corporate level transactions.
Mike Henley is an experienced business and real estate lawyer who advises clients on private merger and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, succession planning, bank financing, and commercial real estate transactions.
Tom Manes represents mid-to-large sized corporations in his corporate commercial practice. Manes has a wide range of expertise in business matters, including leasing, mergers, acquisitions, drafting and negotiating a variety of business agreements.
He’s an accomplished lawyer with expertise in secured transactions, acting for both lenders and borrowers.
Mike McCluskey has been a civil litigator for more than a decade and he helps clients resolve all types of legal conflicts, from the early stages of a dispute to trial, if necessary. Understanding that litigation can be an intimidating process, McCluskey works closely with clients every step of the way, believing that communication is key to success. McCluskey’s specific experience is with liens, construction, commercial, and residential real estate disputes.
Community involvement
Another consideration for the partners when making their decision on what firm to join was the firm’s culture of community involvement. Kyle Hampson says, “We preach community involvement. We believe volunteering is essential to learning about the community and getting to know our neighbours so that we can continue to better serve the community through our legal practices.”
The four partners have been sponsors of the Black-Tie Bingo event for years and they will continue their sponsorship at McKenzie Lake.
This team doesn’t simply preach about the importance of community involvement, they practice it as active members on boards and organizations.
Along with their associates, they serve on the executive boards of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce, Guelph Homebuilders’ Association, Habitat for Humanity, Guelph General Hospital Foundation, Wellington Law Society, and the United Way. In addition, they find the time to coach minor league hockey teams, because they believe it’s important to connect with the community.
Hampson says, “We are well known in the community, but there are more people that we’d like to meet and get to know as well.”
