If you live in Guelph or in the surrounding areas, it’s more than likely that you’ve attended a performance at River Run Centre, or perhaps have held an event there of your own.

River Run Centre has been an integral part of Guelph’s arts and culture scene for the past 26 years, and while this performing arts centre is home for artists and art-lovers alike, it also serves as a venue for others, hosting special events and providing a performance space for rent.

Situated in the heart of the community, River Run Centre is truly a community hub.

The Centre offers its own programming of events as part of the “River Run Presents” annual performance season, offering a variety of performing arts including music, comedy, and more. It features a range of internationally acclaimed artists, rising Canadian stars, and local community creators.

When acting as a host venue, rental events include many ticketed and public performances. Several production companies present large and small performances on the stage including Live Nation events, Royal City Musical Productions Inc., and so much in between such as regional dance competitions, dance recitals, and a children’s March Break day camp, to name a few.

Important public and community events are also presented at River Run Centre, such as a speaker series organized by the Rotary Club of Guelph around the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and so much more. River Run Centre truly is a cultural community hub, and a pivotal player in the rich cultural fabric of the Guelph community.

River Run Centre is dedicated to providing the best in customer service and making performing arts available for everyone by providing numerous ways to be accessible and inclusive.

For River Run Presents shows, there is discounted pricing for adults over 60, children 14 and under, and for those who are under 30.

New this year, Sliding Scale pricing offers $20 and $10 tickets to see three select shows in an effort to help more people enjoy a night at the theatre. Subscribe & Save offers patrons a 20 per cent discount on a package of four or more shows.

The Linamar for the Performing Arts program is dedicated to welcoming students in grades one though eight to experience professional performances of music, dance and multidisciplinary theatre. Each year, this program sees over 30,000 students attend River Run Centre, admission free, thanks to ongoing support from the Linamar Corporation, Ontario Arts Council and the Department of Canadian Heritage.

Owned and operated by the City of Guelph, River Run Centre has a small core staff and relies heavily on the support of over 200 volunteers who help with front-of-house operations and making guests feel welcome and comfortable.

The space is fully accessible for both patrons and performers, and all River Run Presents shows also accept Access 2 Entertainment and CNIB cards, making River Run Centre truly a place for everyone.
