Enjoy Wellness Services by Donation on March 11

On Saturday, March 11 from 10am until 4pm, the clinic is hosting a Wellness-a-Thon. They are offering a variety of services including massage therapy, naturopathy, acupuncture, psychotherapy, nutrition consultations, and yoga therapy for the cost of a donation. The team suggests a minimum donation of $20 per service with all proceeds going towards Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis.

“March highlights International Women’s Day and we want to take this opportunity to help support the women in our community,” explains Thompson Wellness Clinic’s founder, Sabrina Thompson, RMT, BSc. “Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis provides important client-centred services that help women and children live without the fear of violence.”

In order to take part in the Wellness-a-Thon, stop in at any point in the day to sign up. “Treatments during the event will be on a first come, first served basis, so people might want to come early to get their name on the list,” suggests Sabrina.

“The clinic brings together multiple practitioners from different fields in order to provide a circle of care for our clients. I realized that there was a shortage of care and many people are seeking to take control of their own health and seek out their own therapies. We work with our clients, help them to figure out their health benefits and coverage, and offer them treatment in multiple areas,” says Sabrina.

As a Registered Massage Therapist, Sabrina provides a number of massage services including couples’ massages, hot stone therapy, head massage, and cupping. She enhances the experience with hot towels and essential oils.

Beyond massage, the team of practitioners at Thompson Wellness Clinic also offers one-on-one or small group nutrition classes, individual psychotherapy sessions, acupuncture, osteopathy, and naturopathy. They also offer microblading and vitamin B12 injections. The team works together to provide complimentary treatments that care for their clients’ overall wellbeing.

“By incorporating multiple forms of complimentary treatments, people can get the best resolution possible,” says Sabrina. “Our goal is that our clients walk out feeling lighter and that we’ve reduced some of their stress, tension, or injury that they came in with. We hope that they feel like they were able to spend some time on themselves and look after themselves. Mostly, we want to help people to feel better.”
