Business Centre Guelph-Wellington has relaunched its popular Ask the Professional program for small business owners and entrepreneurs throughout Guelph and Wellington County.

The Ask the Professional program provides access to reduced cost, one-on-one sessions with professional service providers including lawyers, bankers, accountants, insurance agents and marketers.

“We’ve relaunched the Ask the Professional program after a three-year absence because we heard from many, many small business owners who needed direction in a few core areas of their businesses. Entrepreneurs have told us they need help with the foundational elements of their businesses like banking, accounting, bookkeeping, legal, insurance, human resources and marketing,” said Kristel Manes, Executive Director, Business Centre Guelph-Wellington.

“When you’re just getting started running your own business, you typically don’t have the time or capital to seek out the professional guidance you need to move forward. The Ask the Professional program is intended to provide that focused direction for entrepreneurs, at a very affordable rate".

Program partners and local professional service providers that will share their expertise include Bank of Montreal; Beyond Rewards Inc.; Collins Barrow; Jeffery & Spence; Meridian Credit Union; Miller Thomson: Nelson Watson LLP; RLB LLP; Sutherland Insurance; SV Law; The Cooperators; 2H Media; and 1 Stop Affordable HR Services.

“We’re grateful to our Ask the Professional partners for valuing the economic and community contributions of small businesses, and for giving back to the business community through these low-cost sessions,” said Manes. “These sessions make it possible for entrepreneurs to get the answers they need, put an action plan in place, and grow forward.”

Whether they’re in the business planning stages, or looking for guidance around growing an existing business, small business owners can book a 30-minute appointment with a representative from the service providers through the Business Centre Guelph-Wellington website. The cost per appointment is $25 + HST.

Sessions are scheduled throughout 2019. Visit the Guelph-Wellington Business Centre website and social media for future dates.
