The County of Wellington is hosting a webinar for newcomers and new immigrants March 19 that is aimed at helping new Canadians adjust to the area.

Participants are encouraged to share their personal experiences during COVID-19 and how to best navigate their new environment.

“This webinar we are looking to provide an opportunity to connect with our newcomers and new immigrants,” said Aaron Francois, County of Wellington economic development coordinator.

“It has been two years of trying times with the pandemic and so we thought that we should connect with them in a real way.”

The platform aims to encourage people to share how the county can help them to better succeed living in the county.

“We will have an opportunity to share with them our side, what are some of the initiatives we are planning in terms of helping to make the community more welcoming for them,” said Francois.

If people don’t have a personal computer they can access a computer at their library. Participants can register on the the Wellington County website.
