many have disabilites that prevent them from working or going to look for a job, also mental illnesses to contend with. some have addiction problems. There is really no easy silver bullet solution to the problem, I agree the tiny houses sound great!

often times these folks do not want to be housed, they prefer living rough

Ever try adopting a pet recently? Unless you have a fully fenced yard, no other pets, are home 24/7 and have no kids good luck adopting from here, I think they want to keep all their animals that come in.

Sad to see this place close down, I can understand the rising costs in regards to construction on older buildings. This will not be the first place to close sadly.
