New school case brings number of Guelph active school cases to 10

Waverley Drive Public School remains open and class closure is 'to be determined' after a single confirmed case

A positive COVID case has been confirmed at Waverley Drive Public School.

Any class closure is 'to be determined' by Public Health at this point and the school remains open.

There are currently six Guelph schools dealing with a total of 10 cases: Holy Trinity (3), St. Ignatius of Loyla (3) and single cases at Waverley Drive, King George, Ken Danby and Jean Little.

One classroom was closed at St. Ignatius, one at King George and one at Jean Little. All schools remain open.

A new case was also confirmed on the University of Guelph main campus on Thursday. They have two active cases on the main campus and one at one of its research stations.
