Outbreak at Caressant Care in Arthur now has 14 deaths (corrected)

A COVID-19 outbreak at Caressant Care long-term care and retirement facility in Arthur has resulted in 14 deaths.

There are have been 114 cases at the home during the outbreak, 57 residents and 57 staff.

The outbreak at Caressant Care was first declared on Dec. 26.

An outbreak at the VIllage of Riverside Glen in Guelph has 147 cases and there has been five deaths.

There have been 40 residents and 31 staff cases at the long-term care section of Riverside Glen, with one death, and 54 resident and 22 staff cases in the retirement home portion, with four deaths.

An outbreak at Palmerston and District Hospital has had 10 active cases and there have been four deaths.

The outbreak in the long-term care home at Riverside Glen was declared Dec. 17 and the retirement home Jan. 10.

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health currently lists 10 active outbreaks.
