All branches of the Guelph Public Library reopened Tuesday with increased safety protocols.
Occupancy will be limited to a maximum of 50 people to help ensure physical distancing, enhanced cleaning will be in place, masks must be worn. Computers are spaced two metres apart and cleaned between use.
Libraries are operating on their regular summer schedule: Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed Sunday. The West End branch is open 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays and closes at 9 p.m. on Friday.
Books returned will be quarantined for 72 hours before they are processed by library staff.
At this point, no fines will accumulate until after Sept. 8.
