FERGUS – Wellington County OPP report they have charged a 16-year-old Fergus youth in connection with Friday's incident that saw a hold and secure take place at Centre Wellington District High School.
"A 16-year-old resident from Fergus was charged with two counts of assault with a weapon and fail to comply with sentence order, contrary to the Criminal Code," OPP report.
The accused was held for bail.
On the afternoon of November 11, 2022, OPP responded to weapons call in Fergus. It was reported that at young person had a weapon in the proximity of a school.
The incident is considered isolated, and no persons were physically injured.
