A Guelph man faces several charged after being linked by DNA to a stolen vehicle investigation, police report.
Last September, Guelph police were advised a Lincoln motor vehicle had been stolen during a break and enter at a Speedvale Avenue West business. It was located in a parking lot three days later and held for a forensic examination.
Items located inside the vehicle were sent to the Centre of Forensic Science for analysis. In January the Guelph police learned one of the samples matched a male in the national DNA databank. He was arrested Wednesday afternoon.
A 23-year-old Guelph man is charged with possessing stolen property over $5,000, being an occupant of a stolen motor vehicle and breach of probation. He will appear in court April 22.
