eMERGE Guelph hosting 12th annual EcoMarket

Promoting a goal for Guelph to have 100 per cent renewable energy by 2050

eMERGE Guelph is hosting their 12th annual EcoMarket to explore the different ways the city can be more eco-friendly.

The event aims to display green ideas and products for homes, businesses and communities and will take place on March 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m at the Old Quebec Street Shoppes on 55 Wyndham St.

eMerge aims to influence behaviours that will encourage people to think differently about reducing energy and water use.

“Promoting smart behaviour, policy and improved efficiency helps Guelph build a road map to beat climate change and achieve 100 per cent renewable energy by 2050,” it says on their website.

The event will allow visitors to connect with organizations knowledgeable about topics such as energy and water conservations, sustainability, local food and clothing.

The event will host the H2OGo Festival and will feature activities such as arts and crafts, face painting and games.
