Erin man faces sexual assault charge

Members of the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have laid a charge in connection to a sexual assault investigation that allegedly occurred at a business in Orangeville.

As a result of the investigation, Perry MEEKER, 55 years old, of Erin, has been charged with sexual assault.

The accused was known to the victim.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville, at a future date in December 2021.

Police are requesting anyone who may have additional information or believes that they were a victim of a similar circumstance to contact the Dufferin OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
