Federal NDP leadership candidate and MP Niki Ashton will be in Guelph this Sunday, May 7, at Red Papaya from 6 to 8 p.m. for a meet and greet.
Ashton has represented the riding of Churchill-Keewatinok Aski since 2008 and served as the NDP critic for Aboriginal Affairs, Status of Women, and Post-Secondary Education and Youth. She is currently the critic for Jobs, Employment and Workforce Development. She was named Best Constituency MP in 2012 by Maclean's.
Ashton has focused her campaign on building a movement for social, environmental, and economic justice.
There is no cost for this event, but donations will be accepted.
