Frost advisory issued for Guelph and area

Frost advisory in effect for:

  • Guelph - Erin - Southern Wellington County
  • Kitchener - Cambridge - Region of Waterloo
  • Mount Forest - Arthur - Northern Wellington County

Some plants may be damaged or even destroyed by frost.

Patchy frost is expected overnight and into Tuesday morning as temperatures drop to near or just below the freezing mark.

Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas. Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.
