Guelph’s Magpie will be performing a matinee show along with Hungry Lake at Onyx on Sunday, with music from their new album.
Magpie is an indie, folk, rock band consisting of Marnie McCourty, Grant MacLeod, Anna Bowen, Dave Snider, Scott Haynes, and Curtis Walker.
Their newest album, High Plains, has been released. This is their second full-length album following their 2018 release, You Only Live Twice and their 2020 EP Yes Phase.
The new album has a guest trumpet player featured.
Their show at Onyx on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. and tickets are $15.
