The resumption of Sean Haverty's first degree murder trial was put on hold Wednesday.

Legal arguments that started Tuesday extended into Wednesday in absence of the jury.

The trial is expected to resume on Thursday with closing arguments from defence counsel Ari Goldkind and Crown attorney Judith MacDonald. That will be followed by charges and instructions to the jury from Justice Nancy Mossip.

Witnesses wrapped up last Thursday.

Haverty stands accused of murdering Chris Schweitzer on June 18, 2015, on Tiffany Street.
