HearCANADA is proud to launch our Hope and Hearing initiative in support of local non-profit, Hope House Guelph and their wellness program. The initiative has begun as a pilot program serving current Hope House Guelph's members, aiming to provide them with free hearing healthcare over the next year and distribute at least 50 sets of hearing aids at no charge.

As part of the initiative, 21 clients have already been fitted with premium level Widex and Signia hearing aids. HearCANADA will be joining Guelph’s non-profit Hope House on the second Monday of every month for the remainder of the year to provide support to those who have been fitted through the program already, including additional hearing health counselling and fine-tuning of their hearing aids.

Hope House serves more than 4,000 vulnerable individuals and offers services and programs that challenge the stigmas surrounding poverty. They offer programs that allow community members to maintain their dignity and choice, while providing tactile skills developed in a community environment, which facilitate self-sufficiency.

“The Hope and Hearing initiative underscores the profound difference our work can make in people’s lives,” said Terri Brzozowski, VP of Marketing with HearCANADA. “We are deeply moved by the positive response from the Guelph community and are excited to continue supporting the remarkable work of Hope House.”

The Hope and Hearing initiative marks a significant milestone in HearCANADA’s global mission to provide ‘Wonderful Sound for All.’ It first kicked off in March 2024, with three visits to Hope House Guelph by a HearCANADA team of audiologists and hearing care professionals, where they met with 55 clients. Consultations included education on hearing health and tinnitus, hearing tests and screenings, wax removal, and hearing aid fittings.

“HearCANADA extends its sincere appreciation to the dedicated volunteers who have gone above and beyond to make the Hope and Hearing launch a success, added Brzozowski. The commitment and passion of the volunteers that have responded to our call is commendable.”.
