Ontario chief medical officer of health Dr. Kieran Moore made an announcement this afternoon (Aug. 17) at 1 p.m. from Queen's Park in Toronto.
Prior to the press conference, the Canadian Press reported that Ontario plans to introduce a set of policies requiring employers in education and several health-care settings to develop strict COVID-19 vaccination policies for their staff. The announcement turned out to have more details than simply that, including a pause on the Roadmap to Reopening and the announcement of third vaccine doses for vulnerable populations.
