A Guelph man faces charges after arranging to sell a stolen cellphone to police officers, say Guelph police.
On Tuesday, members of the Guelph Police Service Break Enter Auto Theft (BEAT) Unit began an investigation into stolen property being sold online. Contact was made with a man and arrangements made to purchase a cellphone.
Approximately 6:45 p.m. officers observed a man waiting at a commercial plaza on Willow Road and placed him under arrest. A cellphone which had been reported stolen in December was recovered.
