Firefighters from Cambridge, Puslinch and North Dumfries responded to a structure fire near Puslinch Lake Friday morning.

PUSLINCH – Multiple fire departments responded to a structure fire near Puslinch Lake.

Brad Bigrigg, interim fire chief for Puslinch, said Cambridge fire department initially responded this morning and firefighters from Puslinch, Centre Wellington and North Dumfries were brought in to the scene of a fire at a maintenance building on McClintock Drive in the Township of Puslinch.

Lake Road is closed and drivers are asked to avoid the area.

Bigrigg said there were no injuries and damage estimates are ongoing as it is unclear what is in the building but there may be some vehicles. He said it appears the building hasn't been used for awhile.

He said Puslinch's fire prevention officer is at the scene with the county training officer to get a plan to pull the building apart.

Bigrigg said the cause is still being determined but there's no indication that it is suspicious.

McClintock Drive heads towards Puslinch Lake and is host to McClintock’s Trailer Resort and Old Marina Restaurant.
