The City of Guelph wants input on what kind of playground equipment area residents would like to see at five city parks that are scheduled to get new equipment this year.

The five playgrounds being upgraded are:

  • Burns Drive Park, 25 Burns Drive

  • Grange Road Park, 598 Grange Road

  • Royal City Park, 119 Gordon Street

  • St. George’s Park, 40 Metcalfe Street

  • Suffolk Street Park, 265 Suffolk Street

"When we replace playgrounds, we consider available budget, maintenance, how to make the play equipment diverse and comments from our community. Your questions and comments help us choose the right play equipment for your neighbourhood," says a notice on the city's web site.

The city wants to know what kind of equipment people would like (slides, swings, climbers, etc.), if you know playground users that have a disability where special features can help with inclusive play and your  playground’s name.

Comments can be sent by writing to City Hall, 1 Carden Street, Guelph Ont., N1H 3A1 or by emailing [email protected], no later than April 3, 2019.

Include your name and contact information if you would like a reply.
