He might only be nine years old, but Guelph's Ethan Millman understands the idea of giving.
Each year before his birthday since he turned six, Millman and his mother Bobbi hold a food drive, putting up posters around the city and collecting food that is then donated to the Guelph Food Bank.
Ethan said doesn't want presents at his birthday parties either, just donations.
“Often we will post on Facebook groups and to our family, and often I'll get the list from the Guelph Food Bank of items they most need,” said Bobbi.
In 2021, Ethan received money that he put toward buying diapers and protein shakes for the Guelph Food Bank.
“Many people need some things,” said Ethan, adding that the community just needs to be reminded to donate.
