Residents will soon have an opportunity to speak out for or against a proposed 44-unit cluster townhouse development on the east end. A public meeting regarding plans for 103 -105 Victoria Rd. N. is set for Sept. 13.

Gemini Homes has applied for zoning amendments that would allow the property – a currently vacant area behind two existing homes at the corner of Cassino Avenue – to be used for 44 two and three-storey townhouses, constructed in six blocks of six to eight units.

Units would be between 1,600 and 2,000 square feet in size, with the two-storey homes fronting Cassino and the three-storey ones further back on a 2.4-acre section of the nearly four-acre property.

Another detached home is planned for the corner of Victoria and Cassino.

The public meeting, which is part of city council’s planning session, is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be streamed live at guelph.ca/live.

The deadline to register as a delegate or make a written submission for the Sept. 13 public  meeting is Sept. 10 at 10 a.m. To register, visit guelph.ca/delegation, call 519-837-5603 or email [email protected].

Advanced registration is not required to speak out during a public meeting.
