*************************
Rainfall warning in effect for:

  • Guelph - Erin - Southern Wellington County
  • Kitchener - Cambridge - Region of Waterloo
  • Mount Forest - Arthur - Northern Wellington County

Most of the rain from this event has already fallen. Any residual rain tonight into the weekend is expected to be somewhat lighter. Rainfall warnings may be ended for regions in and around the Golden Horseshoe later tonight after another fairly well organized area of rain from south of Lake Erie moves through.

Rainfall totals of 50 to 70 mm expected through Saturday.

With the ground already saturated, there is the potential for local flooding. For information concerning flooding please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry District office.

Please refer to the weather summary for total rainfall amounts from this moisture laden rainstorm across Southern Ontario.

Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Keep children and pets away from creeks and river banks. Consider moving valuable items to higher levels.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
