Canadian comedian Ron James will be filming his new CBC television comedy special at the River Run Centre Oct. 13 and Oct. 14.

James will be performing his new show 150 Proof and it will be filmed for his ninth stand-up special that will air on New Year's Eve.

Topics will include downstairs neighbours who seem to think The Handmaid's Tale is a reality show and Ringling Brothers was forced to fold up their tent because they couldn't compete with the three ring circus going on at the White Hous.

James will get personal as well, sharing his own relatable journey through "life's bright fury" spent juggling mid-life relationships, helping elderly parents, culling bourgeois dreams of an earlier day, or trying to go cold turkey on an Instagram-fueled cell phone addiction, says a news release promoting the event.

Shows begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $52.50 and are available through the River Run box office.
