The YMCA-YWCA of Guelph is delighted to announce that tickets are now available for purchase for the 23rd Annual Women of Distinction™ event themed “It Takes a Village” on May 3, 2018.
The Women of Distinction™ event will take place at the River Run Centre from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will include a cocktail reception, which will include hors d’oevres from a wide variety of local businesses, and a cash bar prior to the awards ceremony.
Adult tickets are $70 and youth/student tickets are $40. Tickets can be purchased either in person at the Guelph Y located at 130 Woodland Glen Drive or online.
This year, Women of Distinction™ will be more impactful and accessible than ever before. The steering committee has set a goal to have 1 in 5 gala tickets financially subsidized so that more individuals in our community can celebrate the women in our village.
The Guelph Y will be connecting with local charities, neighbourhood groups and schools to ensure that the youth in our community and other individuals who might not be able to attend otherwise will be given the opportunity to benefit from a night of inspiration. For $50, you can purchase a ticket and help send an individual from our community to the Gala!
The event will be hosted by Melissa Grelo from CTV’s THE SOCIAL and YOUR MORNING. Grelo will be accompanied by Women of Distinction’s 2018 Honorary Chair, Marissa Teeter and 20 remarkable role models, pioneers, and outstanding achievers from the Guelph community.
