It's a weekend of returns as the gaming convention Gryphcon holds its first event since 2019, while the Guelph.Beer Bus is back on tour for 2023

Gryphcon 2023

University Centre at University of Guelph, 50 Stone Rd. E.; 12 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The longest running not-for-profit gaming convention is back for 2023 at the University of Guelph. Take part in board games, delve into a world of Dungeons and Dragons or compete in a number of role-playing or tabletop games. More info here.

Guelph Farmers Market

2 Gordon St.; 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Check out an abundance of fresh produce, baked goods, beverages, and products from local meat producers

Pancake Breakfast

Church of the Apostles, 86 Glasgow St. N; 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Celebrate the Urban Sugaring Project, and the end of the season for tapping trees with a free pancake breakfast!

Seniors Health and Wellness Fair

Guelph Lake Commons, 520 Victoria Rd. N.; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

A number of health and wellness vendors will be on scene as part of an informative and fun event. You can take a tour, and win some prizes.

Repair Cafe can bike repair

Guelph Tool Library, Old Quebec Street Mall, 55 Wyndham St. N.; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

New this weekend to the Repair Cafe: bike repair and assistance. Bring your bicycle in to visit a volunteer mechanic, have access to repair space, tools and parts, and learn some basic do-it-yourself bike repairs. The service will continue through the summer months.

Guelph.Beer Bus

Various locations; 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The Guelph.Beer Bus is back for another year! You can catch the free, family friendly bus tour of breweries around Guelph every half hour, and offers various experiences along the way.

GWN Wrestling: INFERNO

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 234, 57 Watson Pkwy S.; 7 p.m.

A professional wrestling show is being put on for the Guelph Firefighters Benevolent Foundation. All funds raised will benefit local hospitals. Tickets are $15. More info here.

The Woman Who Loves Giraffes fundraiser screening at The Bookshelf

The Bookshelf Theatre, 41 Quebec St.; 2 p.m. 

Anne Annis Dagg is coming to The Bookshelf this Sunday for the screening of the documentary on her life, The Woman Who Loves Giraffes. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at The Bookshelf. All proceeds are being donated to the African Wildlife Foundation. Learn more here.
