Guelph Storm bounces back with big road win

OWEN SOUND – The Guelph Storm scored a pair of power play goals and Brayden Gillespie was rock solid in goal as they downed the Owen Sound Attack 5-2 Saturday night.

Five different players scored for Guelph: Braeden Bowman, Charlie Paquette, Max Namestnikov, Vilmer Alriksson and Jett Luchanko, with Luchanko's coming into an empty net.

Gillespie made 29 saves, several of them jaw droppers.

Guelph led 1-0 after one period and 3-1 after two. Alriksson's second period goal on the power play turned out to be the game winner.

Michael Buchinger chipped in with two assists, giving him at least one assist in eight straight games.

The Storm hosts the Sarnia Sting Sunday at 4 p.m.
