OWEN SOUND – The Owen Sound Attack scored four times in the opening 10 minutes en route to a 5-3 victory over the Guelph Storm Monday night at the Bayshore Community Centre.

It was Guelph's fifth loss in a row and moves Owen Sound just three points back of the Storm for fifth place in the standings.

The two teams combined for six goals in a wild first half of the first period.

After Owen Sound garnered a quick 2-0 lead, Jake Karabela notched a pair of goals 24 seconds apart to tie the game.

But goals by Mark Woolley and William Portokalis 72 seconds apart near the midway mark of the first restored the two-goal lead.

Guelph goaltender Owen Bennett allowed the first four goals on just six shots before being replaced by Jacob Oster, who stopped 33 of the 34 shots he faced.

Cooper Walker had Guelph's other goal, which made it 5-3 midway through the second.

Guelph plays in Sarnia Friday night.
