SARNIA – It was a very productive weekend for the Guelph Storm.

Sunday afternoon on the road they earned their third win in three days with a 4-2 victory over the Sarnia Sting.

Guelph trailed 2-0 in the first four minutes of the game but rallied to tie it up before the end of the period.

After a scoreless second, Braeden Bowman scored what proved to be the eventual game winning goal at 1:48 of the third period, taking advantage of a turnover in the Sarnia zone and firing a wrist shot that Sting goaltender Karsen Chartier got a piece of, but not enough to stop.

Michael Buchinger iced the game with an empty netter.

Buchinger, Jake Karabela and Jett Luchanko all had a goal and an assist for Guelph. Damian Slavik made 24 shos in the Storm net.

Karabela now has 10 points in his last five games and Bowman had five goals in the three weekend wins.

Guelph will play an 11 a.m. school day game in Mississauga Wednesday then host Windsor on Friday.
