KITCHENER – Overall not a bad effort for the Guelph Storm in Kitchener Tuesday night, but they sure were bad for 75 seconds.

The Kitchener Rangers scored three times in a 75-second span of the second period and rode that wave to a 5-2 victory over the Storm at The Aud.

Brayden Gillespie allowed four of the five goals before being replaced by Damian Slavik, who played well the rest of the way.

Guelph scored first early in the first when Max Namestnikov finished off a pass from Jake Karabela, but the Rangers scored the next five.

A late third-period goal by Leo Serlin finished off the scoring.

Guelph was outshot 26-25.

The Storm also lost Zack Sandhu and Michael Buchinger to undisclosed injuries during the game. The injuries aren't considered serious and the pair will be reevaluated Wednesday morning.

Guelph hosts the Owen Sound Attack Friday night.
