OWEN SOUND – The Gueph Storm turned in one of its poorest efforts of the season Sunday afternoon, losing 7-1 to the Owen Sound Attack.

Statistically speaking, it was the Storm's biggest loss of the season.

The win moved the sixth-place Attack five points back of the fifth-place Storm, with Guelph holding a game in hand.

Owen Sound scored three in the first and two in each of the last two periods, with Colby Barlow's two breakaway goals leading the way.

Zander Veccia had Guelph's lone goal late in the third period, his first since joining the Storm at the trade deadline.

Brayden Gillespie allowed the first five goals in the Storm net, Damian Slavik the final two.

Shots were 46-39 for Owen Sound.

Guelph plays a Thursday morning game in Erie, a Friday night game in Kitchener then is back home Sunday against London.
