LONDON – Antonio Stranges' goal early in the third period was the difference maker as the London Knights downed the Guelph Storm 4-2 at Budweiser Gardens Wednesday night.

The teams were playing four-on-four hockey at the time.

It was just the second time London has won in seven meetings between the two teams this season.

London led early before a pair of goals by Matt Poitras put the Storm up 2-1 heading into the second frame.

Landon Sim's goal was the lone marker of the middle period.

Evangalista made it 3-2 and the Storm had all kinds of chances to tie it with goaltender Owen Bennett on the bench in favour of the extra attacker, but couldn't beat Brett Brochu in the London net.

Ethan MacKinnon iced the win with an empty net goal with 28 seconds left on the clock.

Guelph hosts the Saginaw Spirit Friday night.
