On Dec. 18, 2019, at approximately 11 p.m., Police responded to an address on Janefield Avenue in regard to a reported assault incident. [It is alleged that] two male roommates engaged in a physical altercation over one of the males being too loud while playing video games. The accused grabbed a glass bong amidst the altercation and hit the victim causing the bong to break and glass to shatter. The victim was transported to the hospital with injuries.
At 11:24 p.m., a 40-year-old Guelph male was arrested for aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. He was further held for a bail hearing at the Guelph Police service.
