Guelph police are investigating after approximately $50,000 worth of specialized equipment was stolen from the roof of a south end business.

Monday morning, staff of a local roofing company called police after arriving at a job site on Southgate Drive and discovering the theft. Equipment stolen included a hoist, large generator and tools. Due to the size and weight of the equipment stolen it is believed thieves would need a trailer as well as knowledge how to operate the equipment.
