On Dec. 22, 2017, a male contacted the Guelph Police Service and is alleged to have engaged in communication with dispatchers that was aggressive and concerning. Police initiated a threatening investigation after this interaction. The male was identified and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Feb. 26, 2018, Wellington County O.P.P. arrested the male for the warrant and transported him to Guelph Police. Rudolfo Cavarzan, a 54-year-old Rockwood man, was charged with utter threats and given an April 10, 2018 court date.
