Man shot and killed in Guelph last night

A 37-year-old man is dead in what police are calling a 'targeted incident'

Guelph police are investigating after a man was shot and killed late Tuesday.

Police report approximately 10:10 p.m., they responded to a residence in a townhouse complex at 387 Waterloo Ave., Unit 132, near Woodycrest Drive, after receiving reports of gun shots. Upon arrival police located a 37-year-old man with injuries from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

The location is at the western end of Waterloo Avenue.

Investigators believe this to be a targeted incident. The suspects were described as two black males with all dark clothing.

The investigation is ongoing by the Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Unit. There will be an increased presence of police in the area as the investigation continues.
