Business window smashed, product removed through gated bars

Owner reported incident while watching it happen via surveillance video

A downtown area business owner called police on Monday night to report a break-in unfolding as she watched via surveillance video.

The incident happened in the area of Gordon Street and Wellington Street East at about 11:20 p.m. A man broke a window and took vaping products through gated bars. No entry was gained.

Officers arrived minutes later to find the broken window and a rock inside the business. Damage is estimated at $500, while about $200 in product was taken.
