Crash sends four to hospital, two in critical condition (2 photos)

The cause of the crash is being investigated and the roadway was closed for several hours

TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH - On Monday, Nov. 26, 2018 at approximately 8 a.m Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision involving two motor vehicles on Concession Road 6N, south of Highway 89 and east of Mount Forest. Initial reports indicated that an SUV and a mini van had collided head on.

OPP, Fire Rescue Service and Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service attended the scene. The 45-year-old male driver of the van and 69-year-old male passenger were both transported to a trauma centre in critical condition. A 29-year-old mother and two 2-year-old children from the SUV were transported with non-life-threatening injuries and released shortly thereafter. All parties are local.

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI). The roadway was closed for several hours.
