On Oct. 8, 2022, at approximately 12:45 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision involving two motor vehicles on Highway 6 at Wellington Road 22, north of Guelph. Initial reports indicated that a red sport utility vehicle (SUV) and a grey SUV had collided; there were multiple occupants injured.
OPP, Guelph Fire Department, Guelph Wellington Paramedics Service, and Orange Air Ambulance attended the scene. One was airlifted to a trauma centre with potentially life-threatening injuries, and three were transported to a local hospital.
The roadway remains closed for investigators.
