Guelph Police responded to 215 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Saw stolen from construction site
Some time between 7 a.m. on Sept. 15 and 5 p.m. on Sept. 16, 2020, a Stihl TS420 saw with 14” diamond blade was taken from a construction site located near the intersection of Massey Road and Elmira Road North in the City Guelph. The saw is valued at $3,000.

Business vandalized
On Oct. 2, 2020 just before 2:30 a.m., the window of a business located near the intersection of Westmount Road and Division Street in the City of Guelph was smashed, causing $500 worth of damage. No entry was gained to the business.

Theft from motor vehicle
Some time early on the morning of Oct. 1, 2020, a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence located near the intersection of Clair Road East and Victoria Road South in the City of Guelph was entered by an unknown male. Entry was gained as the vehicle was left unlocked. A pair of prescription Oakley sunglasses with black frames (valued at $400) was taken.

The male is described as:
    •    Caucasian
    •    Dark hair
    •    Facial hair
    •    Wearing a jacket with a hood, ball cap with sticker on the beak and dark backpack
    •    Carrying a skateboard
