A Guelph man is facing charges after police say he sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl twice in the same day.

Guelph police say the girl was picked up and dropped off at school Thursday morning by a 23-year-old man operating as a rideshare driver. The same man picked her up after school, and the girl asked to be dropped off at home. But police say instead, the girl was sexually assaulted in a parking lot.

It didn't end there. Police say the man drove to another undisclosed location and assaulted her again before driving her home.

"The victim said the male threatened to harm her if she reported the incidents," police say in a news release.

Police say the girl reported the assaults Friday morning after going to school and seeing the man in the area.
