Guelph man charged after police receive calls regarding possible impaired driver

Breath tests confirmed his level of alcohol was above legal limit

On May 12, 2019 at 4:34 p.m., Guelph Police received two calls about a possible impaired driver on Gordon Street. The motor vehicle was observed parking at a Harvard Road establishment and the male driver going inside. Police located the man in the establishment, a test with an approved screening device was conducted and a fail was indicated. Breath tests at the station confirmed his levels of alcohol were above the legal limit.

The 36-year-old Guelph man has been charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration.

He will appear in court on May 31, 2019.
